- Reason: After the revolution on the farm, the pigs claim that the apples and the milk should be reserved for them because they are the "brainworkers." The apples, which were previously available to all the animals equally, now become a sign of the special treatment and superiority that the pigs start to assert. It shows how the pigs gradually deviate from the principles of equality that were the basis of the initial revolution and begin to establish a hierarchical system where they have more privileges than the other animals.
