New Clothes: The narrator in the story goes to school in new clothes, which symbolizes a fresh start and foreshadows the journey of life he is about to embark on.
Gardens and Fields: As the narrator leaves home for school, the gardens and fields along the way symbolize his childhood, filled with hope and anticipation.
Modern City: At the end of the story, the narrator returns to the street where he started, which has undergone tremendous changes and become a modern city filled with traffic, noise, and garbage. This symbolizes that his life has passed, with many developments and changes occurring quietly while he was preoccupied with the details of daily life.

In different allegorical texts, there are various symbols that can be observed. For example, in "Animal Farm" by George Orwell:

    Example 1: The Windmill

    - Symbol: The windmill represents the vain and misdirected efforts of the working class under a corrupt leadership.
    - Reason: At first, the idea of building the windmill is presented as a way to improve the lives of the animals on the farm by providing them with better facilities like electricity. However, as the story progresses, it becomes clear that the pigs, who take over the leadership and gradually become corrupt like the humans they once overthrew, use the construction and subsequent rebuilding of the windmill as a means to keep the other animals busy and distracted. The animals work tirelessly on the windmill, facing hardships and setbacks, while the pigs enjoy the benefits and manipulate the situation for their own gain. So, the windmill symbolizes the false promises and the exploitation of the working class's labor in the name of progress.

    Example 2: The Apples

    - Symbol: The apples are a symbol of privilege and the beginning of inequality among the animals.
    - Reason: After the revolution on the farm, the pigs claim that the apples and the milk should be reserved for them because they are the "brainworkers." This act of singling out certain resources for themselves sets the precedent for the growing inequality on the farm. The apples, which were previously available to all the animals equally, now become a sign of the special treatment and superiority that the pigs start to assert. It shows how the pigs gradually deviate from the principles of equality that were the basis of the initial revolution and begin to establish a hierarchical system where they have more privileges than the other animals.

These are just a couple of examples from one particular allegorical text, but there are many other allegories with their own unique sets of symbols that can be analyzed in a similar way depending on the context and themes of the work.

In many allegories, there are indeed various other symbols. For example, in some texts, the river can be a significant symbol. A river often represents the passage of time or the continuous flow of life. The reason is that just as a river keeps flowing ceaselessly, life and time also move forward without stopping. Characters might cross a river in the story, which could signify a transition from one stage of life to another or a change in their circumstances over time.

Another example is the mountain. Mountains usually symbolize challenges or obstacles. They stand tall and imposing, much like the difficulties that characters face in the allegory. When characters attempt to climb a mountain in the text, it implies they are trying to overcome the hardships and reach a higher level of understanding or achievement.

Also, the mirror can be used as a symbol. A mirror might represent self-reflection or truth. When a character looks into a mirror in the allegory, it could suggest that they are about to confront their true selves, perhaps realizing their flaws or hidden qualities as they see their reflection.

However, if the couple adheres to the traditional land-based lifestyle, such as carefully tending to the farmland every day, following the ancient farming schedules and planting methods, and enjoying the peaceful rural life, it is worthy of admiration. For example, they work from dawn to dusk on the land, grow healthy and organic agricultural products, and share the joy of harvest with their neighbors, which reflects their love for the traditional lifestyle and respect for nature.

If it is mentioned in the text that the children are exposed to a lot of new technologies, such as using modern equipment to manage agriculture, while the couple refuses to accept these new things, it cannot be simply said that they are unable to keep up with the times. Perhaps they just have their own profound and traditional understanding of the land, believing that the traditional farming methods can better ensure the quality of the land's output and the authenticity of their own lives.
