Golding seemed to regard the mass as unthinking cows who only wanted to follow the crowd or jump on the bandwagon. What do you think of his attitude towards mass wisdom?  what do you think of mass wisdom? Can you think of some examples?

I think Golding's attitude toward the wisdom of the masses is too absolute, and the wisdom of the masses is a double-edged sword, not just a drawback. Crowds can sometimes display great intelligence, and when people come together, they can pool their knowledge, skills, and experiences. Make things better by brainstorming ideas. For example, when I was in high school, parents often sent things to students, and the school built a room to store the items sent by parents. The school solicited the name of the house from each class, and each student had the opportunity to express their ideas. Finally, the name of the house is also adopted a student's opinion, and the school has also put up a sign for this, I think it is very good, to show our students' wisdom. I think we should look at the wisdom of the masses with critical thinking, not blindly following the trend, but also using it.

I think Golding's attitude toward the wisdom of the mass is onesided, and he blindly believes that the mass have no personal thinking and only go with the flow. I believe that the wisdom of the mass is not without thinking and should be viewed critically. Some people do not have their own thinking, do not judge, go with the flow, and some people are thoughtful leaders, they have their own criteria for judging things, will guide the public to find the true wisdom. For example, during the epidemic, various rumors appeared on the Internet claiming that folk remedies could prevent the spread of the epidemic, which were later confirmed by state media as rumors. Finally, the government referred to the experience of fighting SARS in 2008 and effectively controlled the epidemic. Scientists worked together to develop a vaccine, and people's lives and health were protected. People have rallied together to overcome the epidemic.

I think the mass wisdom is a great thing because it gathers the wisdom and efforts of many people. It is not the outcome of blind following trends but a way for everyone to solve problems with their own wisdom and experience. For instance, during the epidemic, the construction of the isolation cabins at Hubei's Leishenshan Hospital was accomplished through the collective wisdom of the people.

I think his attitude towards the wisdom of the masses is very bad, the wisdom of the masses is the collective knowledge and experience, through sharing and exchange to promote the development and progress of society. I think the public wisdom has advantages and disadvantages, take myself, now the more commonly used search engine is the little red book, whether in life or learning, I can find a variety of answers from above. There are many people who share their opinions on things. In my life, I often imitate the dress of others in the little red book, and also buy a lot of inexpensive things through the good things shared by others. I think this is the advantage of the wisdom of the masses. But I will be too dependent on the little red book, and some of the clothes are popular, I dress more and more like an npc, which makes me have no idea of how to dress, which is the drawback of popular wisdom.

I think his attitude is negative and dismissive. He believes that the public lacks the ability to think independently and likes to blindly follow the trend.
But I think there is also an advantage to the wisdom of the masses. As the saying goes, everyone gathers firewood and the flame is high. For example, Q&A posts on the Internet can brainstorm to help questioners provide suggestions and solve problems, and the interaction and communication of many users form a rich knowledge network.

The author seems skeptical about this phenomenon. The problem with this group is that they often lack critical thinking and follow other people's ideas for a long time, which leads to difficulties in life. They will not think independently.

However, I think this is also a kind of wisdom because they will summarize different people's ideas and thus come up with an answer. For example, in the stock market, the masses often observe everyone's choices to make their own decisions.

I believe that Golding's attitude towards the wisdom of the masses is critical and pessimistic, which is a one-sided perspective.

I think that the wisdom of the masses can be both a positive force and a source of error, depending on the context. When groups pool their knowledge and information to solve problems or make predictions, the wisdom of the masses can be a powerful force for innovation and progress. However, when influenced by misinformation, emotional manipulation, or a lack of critical thinking, the wisdom of the masses can turn into groupthink, leading to conformity and poor decision-making.

As for examples, there are both positive and negative ones. Social movements, scientific advancements, and democratic decision-making often rely on the contributions and collaboration of many people, which is a manifestation of the wisdom of the masses. On the other hand, the 1961 Bay of Pigs Invasion, the 1978 Jonestown Massacre, and the 2000 Internet Bubble are examples of groupthink.

Golding believes that grade-three thinking is full of prejudice, ignorance and hypocrisy, and that most people are grade-three thinking, lack independent thinking and independent judgment, and are accustomed to blindly following group behaviors and opinions, and it is difficult to show real wisdom. In my opinion, the wisdom of crowds has two sides. On the positive side, the crowd brings together the knowledge and experience of many individuals to form powerful creativity and problem-solving skills. From a negative perspective, it is true that people tend to lack critical thinking, which can lead to wrong decisions and behaviors. In recent years, "card type tourism" has been popular, many people see some Internet celebrity tourist attractions recommended online, follow the trend, regardless of whether the attraction really meets their interests and expectations, and finally may be disappointed.

    I think Golding's ideas are too one-sided.
Golding believed that the masses are often easily influenced by trends and group behavior, and lack independent thinking. He regarded the masses as a group that lacks thinking and blindly follows the trend, reflecting his skepticism and criticism of the “wisdom of the masses”. But in fact, it is often the wisdom of the masses that can truly play its role. The wisdom of the masses integrates the crystallization of collective wisdom, drawing on collective wisdom and each with their own strengths. Once upon a time, there was a program called “I Love Inventions”, which explored the novel and interesting inventions that many ordinary people had personally figured out. Shortly after the program was broadcast, the country saw the wisdom of the people and put many of their crystallization into large-scale production and even military use, demonstrating the power of popular wisdom.

Golding believed that the public lacked independent thinking and just blindly followed the trend. He held a negative attitude towards the wisdom of the public. On the negative side, the masses may be affected by groupthink and lack of independent thinking, leading to irrational decisions. For example, some people bought a lot of salt because they believed the rumors and worried about the shortage of salt supply, and then more people blindly followed the trend, did not think about the truth of the rumors and the actual salt supply situation, and eventually caused market chaos, which reflects the blindness of the "mass wisdom" when the public lacks rational thinking.

Golding does not approve of people who do not think, and has a critical and disapproving mind of the wisdom of the masses. I think that the pros and cons of public wisdom depend on whether you can cooperate correctly and reasonably. If everyone in the team has their own ideas, the people in the team can communicate with each other and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses, and they can gain great wisdom. As the saying goes, three stinkers beat Zhuge Liang. For example, Tu Youyou and her team have successfully isolated artemisinin from traditional Chinese medicine for malaria treatment, which is the result of teamwork. This is a prime example of mass wisdom. There are many examples of the same, some big and some small. There are also many around us, such as working together in groups to complete assignments.

Golding holds a rather negative and skeptical attitude towards the wisdom of the masses. He compares the masses to thoughtless cattle, which reflects his belief that the masses lack the ability to think independently and make autonomous judgments. They are prone to blindly following the trend and being influenced by others, suggesting that the wisdom of the masses is limited and even unreliable. On the positive side, when the knowledge, experience, and viewpoints of a large number of individuals converge, it often generates wisdom that surpasses that of individuals. For example, in scientific research, numerous researchers participate, and through different research perspectives and methods, they ultimately promote the continuous development and improvement of scientific theories. On the negative side, the masses are also easily influenced by group psychology, resulting in problems such as blind conformity and emotional decision - making. For instance, in some online public opinion incidents, the masses may, without a deep understanding of the truth, be influenced by the direction of public opinion and accuse and attack the parties involved.

Like Goldin, who is pessimistic about the wisdom of crowds and worried about the psychology of crowds, I believe that crowds are susceptible to infection, prefer simple answers, and that when individuals blend in, reason can be replaced by instinct. In this regard, I am reminded of a psychological term mentioned in a book I read before, the collective unconscious. For example, in the face of disasters such as earthquakes and epidemics, people from different cultures may have similar panic reactions, such as buying supplies and looking for scapegoats.

Goldin's portrayal of the masses as "mindless cows" suggests a critical view of the wisdom of the masses, suggesting a lack of individual thought and a tendency towards blind conformity. This view may be seen as somewhat cynical, ignoring the potential of collective intelligence and the positive aspects of group decision-making.
The wisdom of crowds, while not always perfect, can be a powerful force. For example, crowdsourcing platforms like Wikipedia harness the collective knowledge of millions of people to create a comprehensive and accurate resource. Similarly, social movements often rely on collective intelligence

His attitude towards the masses is one of contempt, ridicule and incomprehension. He believes that the masses often follow the crowd and lack the ability to think and judge independently. But at the same time, his own thoughts cannot be understood by the masses either, so he feels very frustrated, helpless and depressed. He really wants to change this situation, but his own strength is very small.

In my opinion, the wisdom of the masses is a two-sided thing and cannot be simply judged as right or wrong. In different positions and facing different problems, the manifestation of the wisdom of the masses is also different. For example, the recent hit movie Ne Zha has continuously topped the global box office, which also reflects the deep expectations of the Chinese people for their national films to go global. The cohesion of the people, national pride and national confidence are also constantly improving. Sometimes, when it comes to the spread of online rumors, the power of the masses also plays a role. Therefore, correctly viewing the wisdom of the masses, being able to leverage its positive effects and avoid its negative effects is something we need to pay attention to and constantly implement.

Golding sees the masses as unthinking cattle that blindly follow the crowd, which shows that he has a rather negative attitude towards the wisdom of the masses. He implies that most people lack the ability to think independently and deeply, and they are more likely to follow popular opinions and trends without really think of them.

In my opinioI, this view is somewhat one-sided.

The mass wisdom is not always wrong ,  sometimes, it may be a  good tool to maintain social stability. For example,  in china, every should have a same thinking that is love our mother land. This also must be a tendency that every one should follow.

However,  the mass wisdom maybe has a bad influence. For example,  as a scientist , he should have a creative thinking.  Then to break the routink  when doing  scientific and do not follow the crowd. Otherwise it will be difficult for the science and technologies to progress and innovate.
