    菌草技术在生态治理方面取得了诸多成就,主要包括以下几个方面:

    • 防风固沙:菌草根系发达,能在沙地快速生长,起到固定沙丘、防止风沙侵蚀的作用。例如在内蒙古阿拉善乌兰布和沙漠黄河沿岸实验基地,一株巨菌草固沙面积达15.2平方米,菌草收割后,其根系仍有很好的固沙效果。

    • 保持水土:菌草保水保土能力强,可有效减少水土流失。在卢旺达,种植巨菌草地的土壤流失率比种植玉米减少97.05%—98.9%,水流失量减少80%—91.9%,菌草生态治理已被卢旺达列为国家水土流失治理的重点项目。

    • 改良盐碱地:一些菌草品种耐盐碱,能在盐碱地生长,通过吸收盐分、改善土壤结构等方式,逐步降低土壤盐碱度。如在福建平潭、泉州,菌草技术用于改良盐碱地,投入少、见效快、效果好。

    • 修复重金属污染土壤:巨菌草能在镉、铅、铬等重金属污染的土壤中生长,且对镉有很强的富集能力,以其为原料加工生产纤维板或制浆造纸原料,可解决重金属植物修复可能带来的二次污染问题,使土壤重金属低成本甚至零成本治理成为可能。
