1.From my writing experience, I have found that certain punctuation marks in English can be challenging to use correctly. One of the most difficult ones is the semicolon (;). I often misuse it by placing it between two independent clauses that are not closely related, making the sentences confusing and harder to understand. For example:Correct: She finished her homework; she went to bed early.Incorrect: She finished her homework, she went to bed early.

2.A specific example is when two independent clauses are incorrectly connected without proper punctuation. For instance, "The model assumes uniform distribution, this simplification may overlook regional variations" disrupts the flow of the sentence due to a comma splice. This mistake occurs because both clauses should either be separated by appropriate punctuation (e.g., a semicolon) . A corrected version would be: "The model assumes uniform distribution; this simplification may overlook regional variations." Such errors are often due to inadequate knowledge of grammatical rules or time constraints during writing.
